Open the Food Tracker and tap the "Log with AI" button. Select your meal type (breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack), then type what you ate in plain English — for example, "two scrambled eggs with toast and a glass of orange juice". AI parses this into individual food items, searches our database of 350,000+ foods for each one, and shows you the matches. If a food isn't in our database, AI automatically adds it with accurate nutrition data. Review the matches, confirm, and all foods are logged in one tap.
After logging your meals for the day, tap the "Analyse My Day with AI" button on the Food Tracker. You can optionally enter your daily calorie target (or leave it blank to use the 2,000 calorie default). AI then reviews your complete food log and provides: an overall calorie assessment against your target, a protein evaluation, one key nutrient observation (high sodium, low fiber, etc.), and two specific actionable suggestions. You can also ask up to three follow-up questions about your nutrition.

Our primary food database uses USDA Food Central data — the most authoritative nutrition database available. When AI adds a new food that isn't in the USDA database, it uses its training knowledge to estimate nutrition values, and these entries are clearly labelled as AI estimates. For packaged and branded foods, AI estimates are generally accurate but we always recommend verifying with the product label for precise tracking.
