Ghee vs Butter: Nutrition Comparison

Ghee and butter start from the same source — cream — but ghee is clarified butter with the milk solids and water removed. This process concentrates the fat, making ghee slightly higher in calories and fat per tablespoon than butter. The key practical difference is that ghee is virtually lactose and casein free, making it suitable for those with dairy sensitivities who can still tolerate butter fat.
